For a very long time I wondered what I had to do to be odedient to God. Was it merely doing the right thing and being a good person? I felt like maybe there was something more, something I was missing, but it was so hard to find out the way with so many different options. Could it be that everyone who claims to know God, walks in obedience to God's word? If that's the case, then why are we all different. There is only one word of God, how can so many different ways all be walking in accordance to the will of God. Is anyone disobedient? Isaiah prophesied of what will happen because of our DISobedience to God....

" See, the Lord is going to lay waste the earth and devastate it; he will ruin its face and scatter its inhabitants...The earth is defiled by its people; they have disobeyed the laws, violated the statutes and broken the everlasting covenant" Isa 24:1-5

* This verse is very serious if you think about it. God is going to destroy the earth, and for what reason? Because the people of the earth are disobedient to God's word. This must mean that even though many of us think we're walking in the path of God, we may not be. I think a lot about all of the different religions that came into existence throughout history and who the founders were; mostly men (aside from the time of Moses and the time of Jesus). Yet, many of these denominations and religions have a great number of followers. However, according to the word of God, in the last days it will be because of our own disobedience that this world is defiled.

Then the question is, how is it that we may remain obedient to God, in hopes of being saved from this disaster?

Throughout the history of the Bible, we can understand many things even about the times we're living in now. Everything that was written in the past was written to teach us (Ro 15:4)

King Hezekiah always did was right in the eyes of the Lord,
"This is what Hezekiah did throughout Judah, doing what was good and right and faithful before the Lord his God. In everything that he undertook in the service of God's temple and in odedience to the law and the commands, he sought his God and worked whole heartedly and so he prospered" 2 Chr 30:20-21

Hezekiah's faithfulness to God was following God's laws and commands. Even in the time of the Old Testament, though it was very difficult to keep God's commands and laws, he realized the importance in doing so, even when everyone else began worshiping idols and other gods, Hezekiah understood the power of God and the error of their ways; such as the worship of idols (2 Kings 18:1)

Now the laws of God have been fulfilled by Christ (Mt 5:17), however many people teach that the mere belief in God is obedience to God. If that were the case, God wouldn't be destroying the earth for our lack of obedience. In order to have obedience, there must be something to follow....

Let's get a little clarity through our trusty dictionary.com
o⋅be⋅di⋅ence  /oʊˈbidiəns/ –noun
1. the state or quality of being obedient.
2. the act or practice of obeying; dutiful or submissive compliance: Military service demands obedience from its members.
3. a sphere of authority or jurisdiction, esp. ecclesiastical.
4. Chiefly Ecclesiastical. a. conformity to a monastic rule or the authority of a religious superior, esp. on the part of one who has vowed such conformance.
b. the rule or authority that exacts such conformance

"Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God;" 2 John :9

Then, obedience comes from following the very teachings that Christ gave us. Then what did Christ teach us?

"If you love me you will obey what I command....Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me" John 14:15-21

and again..

"And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love" 2Jn :6

To obey God is to walk in the love that God has given us. How do we do that exactly?

"How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God" 1Jn 3:1

Are we all children of God? How are we to know and if not, How do we become a child of God?

"Dear friends, now we are children of God..we shall be like him for we shall see him as he is...Everyone who has this hope in him, purifies himself, just as he is pure" 1Jn 3:2-3

The Children of God must be purified as Christ was purified, then how is it that we may purify ourselves?

"Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for your brothers, love one another deeply from the heart. For you have been born again...through the living and enduring word of God." 1 Pet 1:22

Therefore, we are purified by obeying the truth, the living word of God, through which we are born again. How is the word of God living?

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." Jn 1:1

God Almighty, The word, came in the flesh as Jesus Christ, through which we are purified and born again.

"May the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus...equip you with everything good for doing his will" Hebrews 13:20

Through the blood of the eternal covenant, we may be equiped with everything that we need to follow God's will. If we go back to the prophesy in Isaiah, what is our disobedience that will cause God to destroy the earth?

"The earth is defiled by its people; they have disobeyed the laws, violated the statutes and broken the everlasting covenant" Isa 24:5

Our disobedience to God is breaking the everlasting covenant, which in Hebrews is the "blood of the eternal covenant" through Jesus Christ. As we know, we are purified through obeying the truth, the living word, which is Christ. Then what exactly is this eternal (everlasting) covenant that we have broken which involves blood and Christ?

"Drink from it all of you. This is my blood of the covenant which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins" Mt 26:27

Jesus spoke these words the night of the Passover (Mt 26:17) when he gave us his flesh and blood. Christ eagerly desired to give us his flesh and blood (Lk 22:15) in order to purify us. He is the living Word that became flesh. His flesh, given to us on the night of the Passover gives us the way to obey God's word, enter eternal rest, and love our brothers in Christ.

"Now you brothers like Isaac are children of Promise" Gal 4:28
"And this is what he promised us - even eternal life" 1Jn 2:25
"I tell you the truth...whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life" John 6:53-54

**Then how is it that we broke this covenant that God gave us?

As the Bible clearly states, it was the night of the Passover that Jesus Christ gave his body and blood for us. However, in AD 325 Roman Emperor Constantine and the Council of Nicaea abolished the Passover, and instead instituted communion and eucharist in its place.

How was it broken? Passover has an appointed time according to the Bible (Lev 23:5), however nowadays communion and eucharist are kept at any given time on all occasions. This is breaking the very command that God gave us to keep the festival of the Passover.

"For Christ, our Passover lamb has been sacrificed. Therefore let us keep the festival" 1Cor 5:7-8

It is by the word of God that we receieve the promise. Many claim to know God, yet follow in laws/decrees that don't go in accordance with what the word of God actually says. This is why Isaiah prophesied that the earth will be destroyed because we have broken the very laws and teachings that God has given us.

"They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny him. They are detestable, disobedient and unfit for doing anything good" Titus 1:16

** So then how do we come to obey God, so that we may be saved from disaster in the last days? By following the truth of God's word and being purified by keeping the Passover. Although it was abolished throughout history, we have now received the Passover once again, by the very grace of God. As prophesied:

"In the last days....He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in his paths. The law will go out from Zion, the word of the Lord from Jerusalem" Mic 4:1-2

In the last days God Almighty will establish Zion in order for us to know the path of God and fully obey it. The Word of God Almighty will come from Jerusalem, but not the physical city, God's word must come from God...

"But the Jerusalem that is above is free and she is our Mother......Now you brothers like Isaac are children of promise" Gal 4:26-28
..and that promise is eternal life, the promise to be born again.

" Indeed, of Zion, it will be said, "This one and that one were born in her, and the Most High himself will establish her." Psalm 87:5
We have received the Passover, brought back by Christ Ahnsahnghong, to give us life.

Christ Ahnsahnghong, the Most High Himself, re-established Zion, the city of God's festivals (Isa 33:20; Lev 23:1), and revealed Heavenly Mother, the New Jerusalem.

Through the Promise of God's word, we have been purified, born again; through the Passover blood of the eternal covenant, the only way to fully become obedient to God's word. Though many claim to know God, it is by the TRUTH that we receive the promise that God has given us, which is eternal life only be keeping the Passover.

When King Hezekiah realized the importance of the Passover, he sent word to everyone who had not kept it for many years. Though many mocked and ridiculed him (2 Ch 30:1,10) those few who obeyed God's word were saved from the attack of a vast army that attacked Jerusalem (2 Ki 19:30-35). Though everyone else was destroyed; they were saved through the promise God gave through the Passover. We can learn from this. Though many may mock and claim to know the way of God, it is only by the word of God that we are saved. And though for a very long time many have followed other ways and have forgotten the laws of God, these very laws have been brought back for the sake of our Salvation. Our obedience to God's word is what grants us eternal life, and safety from disaster in the last days.
