I recently ran into someone who was telling me about an art installation they were a part of that involved the process of researching women in the Bible and how poorly they are regarded....

Many people put the Bible to blame for social occurrences in regards to sex. However, though modesty was greatly admired in Biblical times and women weren't heads of the church. They were however, deaconesses and preached the gospel just the same. Nevertheless, we are living in a different time, even according to Bible prophecy:

"The Lord will create a new thing on earth - a woman will surround a man." Jer 31:22

Nowadays we see women rising up, leaving the houses and having big roles in society; gosh one even ran for president!

But where was it stated that these things would happen? In the very place that people blame for shunning women.

Then why is it that things have changed in this way? Is it because women are all of a sudden having a voice and speaking out, or is it because this has all along been God's plan to reveal to us something far greater?

What is the prophecy regarding women of this time? What importance is it to those who follow the Bible?

"Let us rejoice and be glad for the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready." Revelation 19:7

In the last days, a bride is mentioned to appear, who is this bride, the wife of the Lamb?

The Lamb in the Bible refers to Christ. (Jn 1:29)
2000 years ago, Christ did not have a bride according to the Bible.
( I would just like to go on record saying that any fiction books written in regards to contradicting this statement were in fact, FICTION, as stated by the author. There is no reference to Jesus Christ having a wife and it certainly was not Mary Magdalene)

HOWEVER, in the last days, the BIBLE DOES in fact say that Christ will have a bride.

"Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!" Revelation 19:9

Many question and wonder, why we have yet to hear about the bride.

In Matthew Jesus Christ refers to the Kingdom of heaven as a king who prepared a wedding banquet for his son. (Matt 22:1) In this parable, everything that has to do with a wedding is mentioned except for one very important aspect; the bride.

In a wedding, who is the very last one to appear? THE BRIDE

In the same way, we can come to understand that just as God made weddings take place on this earth, so it is with God's administration.

Jesus Christ did not have a bride at his first coming. However, in the last days, second coming Christ will come and at that moment, his bride will be ready, just as we are preparing to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.

Then, let's see who the bride is.

"One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls, full of the seven last plagues came and said to me, "Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb. And he carried me away in the Spirit to a mountain great and high, and showed me the Holy City, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God." (Rev 21:9-10)

When John was given the revelation of who the bride was, the angel took him in spirit and showed in the Holy City Jerusalem descending from the kingdom of heaven. Then, clearly, he was not looking at a physical city on this earth, because it was coming down from the kingdom of heaven.

Jerusalem, coming down from heaven, represents the bride.
Then according to the Bible, what is our relation to the Holy City Jerusalem that is coming from heaven?

"But the Jerusalem that is above is free, and she is our Mother." Galatians 4:26

I'm sorry, you're going to have to repeat that....

"But the Jerusalem that is above (kingdom of heaven) is free and she is our MOTHER." Galatians 4:26

Oh, that's what I thought you said.

Why are we blessed if we are invited to the wedding banquet?

"I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband." (Rev 21:2)

Let's think about it for a second. When Jesus told us to pray to God in heaven, he said pray to "Our Father" (Matt 6:9).

Then that makes us God's children.

This, is an incomplete family. God is perfection. Would God's family be an incomplete family? I highly doubt it. In fact, those who are invited to the wedding, which means, those who come to heavenly Mother, they receive a very special promise:

"Now you brothers like Isaac, are children of Promise." (Galatians 4:28)

What is this promise?

"And this is what he promised us - even eternal life." (1 John 2:25)

The promise of God is the gift of eternal life. However, this promise is given to the children of not just God the Father, but also God the Mother. That is why, in the last days, who is calling us to give us eternal life?

"The Spirit and the Bride say, "Come!" And let him who hears say, "Come!" Whoever is thirsty let him come; and whoever wishes let him take the free gift of the water of life." (Rev 22:17)

The very last words of the Bible state that the Spirit and the Bride are giving the free gift of the water of life. The water of life, is eternal life (John 4:14)

By going to the Spirit and the Bride, we become a part of a complete family, a perfect family, a heavenly family; receiving the free gift of eternal life and the ability to enter the kingdom of heaven.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the Bible highly regards women, in fact, so high that God Almighty, the MOST HIGH is not only our Father, but also our Mother. This is what people have been waiting for isn't it? How can this be hard to accept, "Let us rejoice and be glad!" we have a heavenly Mother who is calling us to give us Eternal Life.
